Shopify Storefront MCP operates within Shopify's storefront access controls. Cart creation and management actions use Storefront API permissions, the same layer used by headless commerce integrations.
Customer payment information and authentication data remain entirely within Shopify's secure checkout. They are not accessible through the Storefront MCP layer. We always review and document the full data access scope during implementation.
